Stripes and leopard…great combo
leopard black and gold by rozzle3 featuring leopard shoes
The holidays aren’t always as cheerful as advertised. For some, the holidays can be downright depressing. Every year we romanticize the month of December and set our expectations so high, that failure is inevitable.
I love the holidays, I really do. However, I lacked the Christmas spirit this year. Now the holidays are a reminder of my failed long term relationship and the one who left me broken hearted. With songs like “All I want for Christmas is You” and “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and images everywhere of people kissing under the mistletoe or cuddled together in front of the fire, it’s impossible not to think about the fact that you’re alone on Christmas.
For many, Christmas night is a sad time because it means the festivities are over. For others like me, we’re just glad we got through it. I’m now going to spend some quality me time in front of the fire, with a good book and cat by my side. Tomorrow is a new day with no high expectations attached to it, and December 25 has come and gone, just like any other day.
So here’s to the rest of you ladies in the same boat. We did it. Happy holidays.
